The day after we returned from our East Coast Adventure I headed to Austin to pick up the newest addition to our family. It's about time I introduce him to you all. Say hello to Willy Wilson.
Mr. Beless & I have had a lot of fun with this little guy. You would laugh at our attempts to train him. We invested in a clicker & spent hours on YouTube trying to educate ourselves. I've called little Wilson's breeder twice to pick her brain about what we're doing & whether or not she thinks it will be effective. If this is any indication as to whether or not I'll be a nervous new mom if/when we have kiddos, we're in trouble, folks.
We had some couple-friends over for dinner about a week after we adopted the little guy. They knew that it was Brooks' idea to get a dog this time around (those of you that have been following along for the past year know that our last attempt at dog-ownership didn't go over so well), and they asked what prompted his decision.
14 weeks (they sure do grow up fast, ha!)
Brooks said that he'd heard me say it's nice to have something breathing in the house while he's gone, but that he didn't really understand that until I went up to Oklahoma for a few weeks to help prep for my sister's wedding. He said that experience made him want to get a little pup to keep me company while he's away. I do believe that's the sweetest thing I've heard in a long time. And to top it off, he leaves little notes like this when he heads out to the field.
My man got me a Pomeranian to watch out for me when he's away. I don't know that Wilson will be a great watchdog, but he sure is a fun (and cute!) little shadow. Thanks for my pup, Babes!
