I apologize in advance for the melancholy tone of this post. It’s just that I’m lamenting the fact that Mr. Beless & I aren’t soaking up the sun on Craigville Beach in The Cape right now. In fact, I’m biting my tongue as I type to prevent my pleading thoughts (to turn our vehicle around & head back north) from escaping my lips! Hands down, Cape Cod was my favorite leg of our east coast adventure. This little pocket of the US has perfect weather this time of year, crisp air, beautiful beaches, ocean water & (get this) an abundance of hydrangeas (my favorite flower in all the world). It’s a miracle I didn’t beg our extended family (who actually live in this beautiful part of the country) to take us in on the spot (believe me, it crossed my mind). I’ve spent the past six hours of our drive to DC conducting tactical planning for “Operation Cape me if you Cod.”
Our time in Washington DC, NYC, Boston & Cape Cod was wonderful, but spending two full weeks with with my sweet husband was the best part about the whole thing! I continue to grow in love, admiration & respect for Brooks & I couldn't be more grateful for the man that he is. Adventuring through life together is the absolute best. Looking forward for more to come!
